Good Morning...

Just saying hello...since I know you missed me! ;o)
I have had trouble with Blogger and finally figured out my internet safety program for the kids was not letting me access my account. I think the problem is fixed so I hope to be able to post again.
Y'all have a great day!

thankful ...

"How precious also are Your thoughts to me O God! How great is the sum of them! If I should count them they would be more in number than the sand..." Ps.139:17-18

everyday graces...

tiny yellow flowers peeping through the soggy brown grasses…

the way an evergreen is really green in the spring…

buds on trees…

bike rides with boys…

Tyler really making time for my little guy…

spaghetti stain mustaches…on boys ;o)

grocery trips with my little gal…

big girls looking so big…

friends by a fire…

back porch talks with my sweet man…

sweet baby snuggles at church…

how pretty my friend Cheryl looked in green yesterday…

rainbows after a shower…

Chloe's red sparkly shoes...

the suns rays shining through droplets of rain…

trips to Build-A-Bear and girls all smiles...

chocolate stampede...

words of grace...from my sweet mama

In loving memory...

Words cannot express the way this amazing woman has blessed us.

"Many daughters have done well, But you excel them all. Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, But a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised. Give her of the fruit of her hands, And let her own works praise her in the gates."
Proverbs 31:29-31

All our love to you precious friend...
you will be truly missed....

my love affair ... and other saltry secrets

I knew it would come to this...
after all the the other pencil sharpeners in my life, I have finally found my true love.

My baby is sweet...shiny and oh so stylish!!!

I am in Loooove!

He is dependable and never gets to tired or worn out to give affectionate attention to my every need. No more broken hearts leads. No more callous exterior to try to win over, just pure sweet caresses.

After I tried the dating scene for the past eight years, I have found my perfect match.
 He completes me...

And on a not so mushy note, I love really like this book from the library. It is so interesting and has so much history, even some local for our area. It would make a great unit study.

little boys ... or has Mom gone crazy???

And I quote:

Son age nine:
" Hey Mom do you have any hairspray? "

 Me:
" Yes."

Son:
"Is it flammable?

Me:
 "Yes...Why????"

 Son:
" Good."

Me:
" What are you trying to blow up??!!!!! "

Unfortunately the video is sideways. I took it with my camera and wasn't thinking about how I was holding it. You really have to watch this video a few times to see and hear everything.
(scroll down to pause the playlist, I apologize for the poor quality, I am unsure how to make the quality better on large screen? If you know how please let me know. ;o)

video

I love the lips on my little boy, the smile on my other little boy, the eeeek in the background, and the giggle!!

I also love that my son is holding a flaming rocket. (NOT!!)

Oops, I am being corrected, this is actually called a ping-pong zooka.
I probably should have thought twice about buying him this for Christmas.

He is the tinkerer/physics expert/artist/engineer in the family, just like his 18 year old cousin. It is a good thing they were born so far apart or who knows what these two would do!!!
He got this book for Christmas too.

Here are just a few items he has made from the book .Clockwise from the top:

a matchbox bomb (yep!! I know!! What was I thinking???) he added the stickers for effect ;o)
the next two are different kinds of crossbows
a BB pencil that shoots BB's... compliments of my husband ;o)
the mousetrap shoots mini shrapnel with a trip wire
a catapult made with pencils, rubberbands, and a milk jug lid

And center...
one happy boy's reflection!
Priceless!

the wonderful happens...

In a dark grey sky
flies a tiny speck of dust,
a wonderful speck of dust,

it was just dust,
then it floated into a cloud,
and the wonderful happened:

SNOW!

the wonderful happens every day:

snow falls,
clocks tick by the time,
children grow,
the moon shines bright,
a butterfly flutters,
a kitty sleeps in the crook of the window.

And best of all it never ends
for the wonderful happens...
 and happens again.

(thoughts inspired from the book The Wonderful Happens by Cynthia Rylant)
